Who is Sue Sherman?

Sue Sherman's work is inspired by her own photographs of animals from around the world. She has travelled to all 7 continents, both through her earlier work as an engineer and more recently on trips with a specific aim to observe animals in their natural environment. Her recent work highlights concerns in the natural world relating to climate change and habitat loss.

Her work has won awards at national and international events including the $5000 Superior Threads Award for Thread Artistry in the 2022 Houston International Quilt Festival. She has been a Juried Artist Member of the Studio Art Quilt Associates since 2019, and her work has been featured in quilting and art quilt magazines in Canada and the US.
