Who is Freddy Moran?

Freddy Moran is known best for her sense of humor and color, she is famous for her phrase, "Red is a neutral!"

An internationally recognized, award winning artist, author, and teacher, Freddy did not begin quilting until she was 60 years old. Since that time, she has created countless quilts, all with her signature joie de vivre (and a few polka dots).

She liberates everyone who has ever taken a class from her to just keep adding more color, and not worry about your technique. Grab some glue! Go ahead, no judgement here! JUST HAVE FUN.

After 94 glorious years, Freddy passed away in her home in CA in August 2024, and will be lovingly missed by all who knew her.
