Who is Blair Stocker?

Hello, my name is Blair Stocker. I started Wise Craft Handmade back in 2015 after a career in the apparel design industry and raising my kids. My focus was on using special fabrics in our quilts- upcycled from clothing, saved from a loved one, etc. I love the challenge of putting lots of fabrics together in one quilt even when they feel like they won't "go together". I've written 2 books on crafting and quilting, my most recent is Wise Craft Quilts: A Guide to Turning Beloved Fabrics into Meaningful Patchwork. In 2018 I invented a design tool called the Ruby Ruler®️. It's a combination of color value lens to look through and determine color value in your fabrics and quilt layouts, as well as an acrylic cutting ruler. These days I offer online classes, patterns, and all kinds of quilting inspiration at my website and all over the web. The pandemic in 2020 inspired my family and I to move from Seattle Washington to the Southwestern US. I now live and work in sun-drenched studio, in a tiny town just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico.
