Our 2026 Block Of the Month, Game On! (approx. 64" square) quilt was created by American designer Becky Goldsmith. Each month's instructions will include a video(s) by Becky with supporting live presentations by expert quilter Barbara Black.

Becky writes, "The Folk Art Museum in NYC is such a wonderful source of inspiration for me. You can truly see the hand of the maker in the art on display, along with the creativity and cleverness that goes into each piece.
Every Thanksgiving, I visit my son Jeff--he lives in NYC--and I always make time to stop by the museum. Last year, they had a fantastic exhibit of carnival game boards. Some of the games were familiar (like Parcheesi), while others were delightfully mysterious.
My favorite board from the show ended up inspiring the medallion center of Game On!. I can only imagine what sort of game was played on it, but the layout of the shapes is intriguingly off-balance--one of those things you just keep looking at, discovering more each time.
Motifs from other game boards found their way in the quilt's borders, alongside blocks that are both traditional and a little quirky. The best part? The border blocks are size so you can move them around. Have fun with your quilt! Feel free to play and design a game board that shows off your own unique style."
